Broomhall is a must see for anyone with an interest in Scottish history, fine art and antiques. From the library which contains books detailing the greatest ideas from the last 300 years, to the dining room fireplace which was part of James VI and Queen Anne's marital bed in 1589.
In another room there is Robert the Bruce's sword and of course all the family stories from 1314 through to the Jacobite rising in 1745 and eventual downfall in 1746

The Bruce family has lived in the area since the 14th century and acquired the land on which the 2500 acre Broomhall estate now sits in the 1580 s. The present house was built in 1702.
As you walk back in time through 800 years of history through the library, the drawing room and dinning room, you get see this unique collection of Scottish history, which is brought to life by Lord Bruce., Telling stories ranging from Robert the Bruce, to Queen Victoria and the Carnegies to name but a few.
As part of this unique experience lunch is included with Lord Bruce allowing you time to chat through any questions about Robert the Bruce or the family.
